Last step before the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Team will start the penultimate race of the 2018-2019 Super Season on May, 4th at Spa-Francorchamps.

With the overseas races now over, REBELLION Racing is back in Europe to end the FIA WEC Super Season. Considered by many drivers as the most beautiful circuit in the world, the Team will be on the legendary Belgian track from May 2nd to 4th.

New change in the crew, André Lotterer will be back at the wheel alongside Bruno Senna and Neel Jani in the REBELLION R-13 N. 1.
The N. 3 car will always be driven by Thomas Laurent, Gustavo Menezes and Nathanaël Berthon for his second rebel race after Sebring last March.

R-13 N. 1: Bruno Senna, Neel Jani, André Lotterer
R-13 N. 3: Thomas Laurent, Gustavo Menezes, Nathanaël Berthon
“Somehow it feels strange that this year spa is not the season opener! I am looking forward to spa and it will be very interesting to see the lap times we manage with the same car compared to last year! this way we can really compare our improvements within the last 12months.”

Neel Jani, N. 1 driver
“After a difficult Sebring, I’m really looking forward to getting back into known territory and hopefully also back to a strong performance at Spa. We learned a lot in the last few races and the preparation for Spa looks good. Can’t wait!”

Bruno Senna, N. 1 driver
“Really happy to be back in the car and especially to a kind of home race as I grew up in Belgium. Spa is a fantastic track for LMP car and so many fans come to support us. We have also improved the car so I’m looking forward to enjoy driving and hopefully there will be a fight at the front.”

André Lotterer, N. 1 driver
“I’m really excited about getting back to the European races. Spa is always a special meeting, it’s one of the best circuit in the world and more importantly it will be the final race before Le Mans to do the preparation. It is been known as an important race because we will see our development. It is going to be nice and the Team has done a lot of work since Sebring. Now we have the eye fully focused on Le Mans and Spa is just one step toward that. It will be a great time. I’m really excited to see what we can do compared to the others and the main goal is to be on top of the LMP1 category to fight for the podium and hopefully have a chance to contend with Toyota. All we can do is wait and see where we are and keep on working.”

Gustavo Menezes, N. 3 driver
“Sebring’s disappointment behind us, I can not wait to be at Spa on a circuit that I know and love. It’s a track with lots of fast turns where our car behaves very well. We must have a good race at Spa to score big points but also so that the whole team arrives in total confidence at Le Mans.”

Nathanaël Berthon, N. 3 driver
“I can not wait to be at Spa to try the new aero low downforce kit. I hope we will have the same performance as Sebring but luckier this time!”

Thomas Laurent, N. 3 driver
“Final stretch for REBELLION Racing before the 24 Hours of Le Mans! We look forward to returning to Spa for the second time in the Super Season with more motivation. The whole team is working hard from Sebring to finish the World Endurance Championship well!”
