Tutumlu to discover Zolder circuit with Kurdistan Racing Team
The Spaniard of Kurdish heritage and Kurdistan Racing Team head to Belgium to contest the penultimate round of the DMV GTC and the Dunlop 60 at Zolder sharing the Car Collection Motorsport-run Audi R8 LMS Evo with Dirg Parhofer. Tutumlu claimed a valuable first win in the DMV GTC last month.
Isaac Tutumlu will take part at the penultimate round of the DMV GTC this weekend and, furthermore, the Spanish driver of Kurdish ancestry will share the Car Collection Motorsport-entered Audi R8 LMS Evo in Kurdistan Racing Team colors with Dirg Parhofer in the Dunlop 60. Tutumlu secured an impressive maiden triumph for his team at Oschersleben to continue his podium streak, which began at Nürburgring.
Tutumlu has never competed before on the Zolder circuit. In his words, “I’m looking forward to competing at Zolder, because it’s always wonderful to discover a new circuit. No doubts, it isn’t too often to compete for the very first time on a new track as I already have plenty of experience on the European scene. It’s a new challenge but I have already completed a good work on the simulator.” Tutumlu explains that “Zolder looks like an enjoyable circuit, a mickey mouse one featuring an old school spirit. There are several ups and downs and changes of direction, fast corners, slow chicanes and it isn’t too long, so we can expect very narrow margins. I feel very motivated after our win at Oschersleben and my goal is to achieve another strong result for Kurdistan Racing Team. I think our Audi R8 LMS Evo will be quite competitive at Zolder.”
Dunlop 60’s race, in which Tutumlu will team up with Parhofer, is due to take place on Friday at 16.55 (CET GMT+2) with the DMV GTC race and consisting of 30 minutes scheduled on Saturday at 16.40 (CET GMT+2). Both races will be broadcasted live on YouTube.
