Lifestyle beverage brand Superdrink has become the official series partner of the DTM Trophy.

The new GT racing series, which joins six DTM race weekends in 2020, blasts into action at Zolder, Belgium, on April 24-26. It concludes at the F1 venue Hockenheimring on October 2-4.

As series partner, the Munich brand’s logo will feature on all race cars, team trucks, and at all podium ceremonies throughout the season. Additionally, Superdrink will become the title partner of the Car Republic outfit – founded by team boss Max Penner, and which will enter two Audi R8 LMS cars in this year’s campaign.

“The concept of DTM Trophy so thoroughly appeals to us that we will become involved on multiple levels,” said Claus Hummel of Superdrink brand owner RMS Franchisetotal GmbH. “As series partner, we expect to see a significant increase in our brand awareness. But, just as important is the opportunity to reach out to motorsport fans each race weekend through the numerous touch-points available in the DTM paddock.

“We feel DTM and the DTM Trophy offer us the perfect platform upon which to present our new packaging concept. And, as the title partner of Car Republic, look forward to increasing our visibility and racing competitively on the circuit.”

DTM Trophy perfect environment for brand activation

Superdrink, the new brand of RMS Franchisetotal GmbH, has enjoyed growing popularity for years with its two lifestyle drinks. The isotonic drink TAKE IT EASY is made with green tea, apple and coconut water, and is low in calories. Its yellow labelmate KEEP ON MOVING has 35% juice content, including passion fruit, orange and tangerine, and is fruity, tangy and invigorating.

Both are ideal companions before, during and after sports. From April onwards, the two variations will be available in a can.

“The start of the DTM Trophy is the ideal time for us to launch our new team Car Republic,” said team boss Max Penner. “Together with Superdrink, we want to showcase the sports lifestyle appeal of the brand, as well as racing hard with our two Audi R8 LMS entries.”

Frederic Elsner, Director Event at the DTM umbrella organisation ITR, added:

“We’re delighted to welcome Superdrink as official series partner of the DTM Trophy. The scope and scale of the brand’s commitment really underlines the appeal and competitiveness of this exciting new series.”
