Berlin team Mücke Motorsport returned from races seven to nine of the ADAC Formula Masters weekend (8th to 10th June) at the Sachsenring near Hohenstein-Ernstthal with a podium place. Jason Kremer – the Bonn man is sponsored by the ADAC Sports Foundation and the Deutsche Post Speed Academy – finished as runner up in race eight on Sunday morning , stepping onto the podium for the third time this season. The overall table now lists Jason Kremer in place three. On Saturday (9th June), he barely missed the podium as fourth.

Hard luck for Dresden man Florian Herzog at his home game. When in Sunday afternoon’s race nine another car was extracted from the track, he, along with other drivers, lost control over the 145 horsepower Formula ADAC powered by Volkswagen and slid into the accident location. Following this incident, the race was stopped and not started up again, therefore not allocating any points for the championships. Florian Herzog remained unharmed apart from a strain in his leg. “This was clear evidence of the importance of high safety standards in the cars” said team manager Peter Mücke. Herzog, sponsored by the ADAC Sports Foundation, achieved a top ten placement as ninth on Sunday morning but had to give up due to technical problems in the introduction lap the day before.

Another rookie of the German Capital’s racing team, Luca Caspari (Meerbusch) was able to score decent points, too. The 16 year old came in sixth twice and moved up to fourth place in the table. Berlin rookie Hendrik Grapp, sponsored by the ADAC Sports Foundation like Caspari, also achieved point ratings twice as eighth and tenth. The 18 year old, advertising for the ADAC Berlin Brandenburg is now listed as overall 13th, directly behind his even scored team colleagues Florian Herzog and Roy Nissany. The Israeli came in seventh on Sunday but was eliminated on Saturday.

„We are happy with the weekend overall, considering we scored a podium place and numerous points in the pretty level field“ so team manager Peter Mücke. “Jason delivered a very good race and performed great duels. After taking over the lead at the start, he secured place two in the end, which was important for the championships.” Both races on the Sachsenring were won by Swede Gustav Malja. The fourth ADAC Formula Masters event will take place from 15th to 17th July on the Nürburgring.
