#Prema_Powerteam – Formula Regional Race Preview
The Formula Regional European Championship is coming back to one of the world’s most challenging circuits, the Autodromo Nazionale of Monza, with an all-out battle raging between PREMA Powerteam drivers for the lead of the overall championship.
Currently sitting at the top of the series, fresh 20-year-old Arthur Leclerc got the advantage following to a superb triple win in the rain at Mugello. The Monegasque now has a tiny margin over 17-year-old Brazilian Gianluca Petecof who maximized his points score in a troubled weekend at the Tuscan venue.
Oliver Rasmussen (19) is not out of contention, especially when considering his recent pace. The Dane has secured two wins this season and can rely on the good results he got last year at Monza in Formula 4 as a starting point.
Reigning W Series Champion Jamie Chadwick will face a thorough challenge, racing on a notably complex track again for the first time. The positive runs of late will hopefully put the 22-year-old British female racer in position to reduce the learning time and kick-start the weekend to be outright competitive.
Angelo Rosin – Team Principal
“The 2020 series has been really successful and exciting for our team. We have Arthur, Gianluca and Oliver fighting at the very front of the pack and keeping up with their challenge requires outstanding vision and commitment. We are sure that our competitors are not that far away though, so Monza will be a key crossroad heading into the final part of the season. On the other hand, we are determined to give Jamie the right chance to catch up as we are sure that she has great potential.”
