Ocean Racing Technology will be in Valencia this weekend, June 22-24, to take part in a race weekend that is expected, like every other, to be highly disputed and demanding. Brazilian driver Victor Guerin is back to join Nigel Melker and both hope to be able to give the Portuguese team a chance to secure points. Victor Guerin has only two race weekends at the wheel of a GP2 car under his belt, but his debut was promising, with a fastest lap in one race. For Valencia, and although he does not know the circuit, the Brazilian driver is rather confident: “I’m delighted to be able to continue with Ocean in GP2. In the end, it is the result of the hard work we have done in the two previous meetings. This weekend my goal is to do the best I can. The car is quite good and I know it better now but I know it won’t be easy. My ambition is to finish in the top 10 in both races,” Victor explained.

Nigel Melker has been pretty fast throughout this early season, however, he has not been always lucky and thus could not translate into results his level of performance. After a month-long break, the Dutch driver returns at maximum strength and more confident for a weekend of races: “I took advantage of the last few weeks to work a lot with the team and I think that we are prepared to face this test which will certainly be difficult. The progress on race simulations is pretty good and as such we are focused on work for qualifying that plays a crucial role in the outcome of the races. I want once and for all to get into the points,” he said.

Both races will be broadcast live on Sky Sports. On Saturday at 3:35pm and on Sunday at 10:35 pm.
