Sport exhaust system manufacturer REMUS has extended its partnership with DTM for another two years. As a result, branding from REMUS Innovation GmbH from Voitsberg in Austria will be visible on the starting grid and in the pit lane during the upcoming events. Moreover, REMUS will be using the events of the DTM platform for specific activities.

After its founding in 1990, REMUS achieved a dynamic rise to become the global market leader among the sport exhaust manufacturers. “Our multi-faceted involvement in motorsport has been playing an important role because of its enormous international exposure, particularly in DTM, for many years. Therefore, we are delighted to continue this successful partnership,” says Stephan Zöchling, CEO, REMUS.

Next to almost the entire tuning segment, numerous renowned premium automotive manufacturers like Mercedes AMG, Porsche, Bentley, McLaren, Aston Martin, BMW or Ducati are also relying on products from Western Styria. Next to the series’ partnership with DTM and the support of individual drivers, REMUS is frequently using the cooperation with teams and manufacturers from DTM for product development and the technology transfer from race track to the road.

“We are very grateful for the confidence that REMUS has been placing in DTM for years. REMUS is an outstanding example of successful long-term partnerships. Especially the variety of the DTM platform with DTM as the top series, DTM Electric as an innovative product, DTM Trophy as a junior series as well as DTM Esports and DTM Classic allows for a varied added value and new means of presentation,” says Benedikt Böhme, managing director of the umbrella organisation ITR.

In 2021, DTM will have two races each on eight weekends with Monza in Italy as the venue for the season opener from 18-20 June. From 3-5 September, DTM will be racing at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, only around 50 kilometres away from REMUS Innovation GmbH’s corporate headquarters. All the races will be broadcast live on SAT.1 and on the online portal grid.dtm.com.
