BURTON, FACH, SCHURING – THREE YOUNG TALENTS FOR THE PORSCHE MOBIL 1 SUPERCUP
Fast, talented and hungry for success: that’s FACH AUTO TECH’s Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup trio in a nutshell! Alexander Fach, Morris Schuring and Gustav Burton are the three youngster drivers on the grid for Alex Fach’s squad and proof of how the team continues its course of accompanying promising talent on the path to a professional career.
“We’re well-known for our focus on junior drivers in the Porsche one-make series”, Alex Fach explains. “Later works commitments by Matt Campbell, Earl Bamber or Matteo Cairoli show that our work is bearing fruit. They all learned with us at a young age. So now once again, we we’d like to offer three junior drivers the opportunity to prove themselves on the international stage.”
Latest name in the Schwyz-based team is Gustav Burton. The 20-year-old competed in 2022 for the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain and ended his season as best rookie. In the previous year, he was crowned the British GT4 Champion. Now he’s aiming to demonstrate his talent on the international starting grid.
“The Supercup is the best Porsche one-make series in the world, the competition is fierce. I’m excited to see how I perform against the best of the best”, said the Brit. “I am confident in myself and the team, that we can get some great results. My main aim this year is to try and bring home the Rookie championship.”
With Morris Schuring one of the youngest pilots will be at Burton’s side. Already in 2021, the talented Dutchman celebrated his Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup debut and 2023 will see him representing the FACH AUTO TECH colours in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland as well. Team colleague Alexander Fach is also tackling this double programme. The two-time Porsche Sports Cup Suisse champion is on board the squad for a further year.
Kick-off for the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup is on 3 to 4 April with the official pre-season test. The first race is scheduled from 19 to 21 May in Imola, Italy.
