ELMS – 4 Hours of Imola to be postponed
Le Mans Endurance Management (LMEM), the organisers of the European Le Mans Series, the Michelin Le Mans Cup and the Ligier European Series, to postpone Round 2 of the 2023 season, the 4 Hours of Imola, which was due to take place on Sunday, 7 May.
Over the winter, a series of improvements had been planned to the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari. However, a delay to the scheduled completion of these works at the circuit has forced Le Mans Endurance Management (LMEM), the organisers of the European Le Mans Series, the Michelin Le Mans Cup and the Ligier European Series, to postpone Round 2 of the 2023 season, the 4 Hours of Imola, which was due to take place on Sunday, 7 May.
The improvement works to the paddock and garage complex at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari were due to have been completed by the middle of April, but delays to the project mean the circuit won’t be ready to receive the teams from the European Le Mans Series, Michelin Le Mans Cup, Ligier European Series and Lamborghini Super Trofeo as planned.
LMEM is urgently working to find an alternative solution with the circuit management and competitors. An update will be sent to the partners, stake holders, and the fans as soon as there is further information.
