Mitjet International ready to conquer Europe in 2024
Mitjet International is continuing its expansion this year, bringing the France and Northern Europe series closer together to strengthen their appeal and attract even more drivers to the grid.
The 2024 season of Mitjet International promises to be a thrilling one with its championships taking place in the setting of events organised by SRO Motorsports Group. With the ambition of offering an exceptional grid on the most renowned circuits in Europe, the Mitjet Trophy France and the Mitjet Trophy Nord Europe will share three common dates for twice as much competition and no fewer than eight possible meetings!
The Mitjet 2L, with its tubular chassis and 2-litre Renault engine, offers an intense driving experience thanks to its 230 bhp for a weight of 910 kg. Suitable for all profiles, from beginners to experienced drivers, it guarantees pure adrenalin with four 20-minute races per weekend.
A six-star calendar for the Mitjet Trophy France
With a field which is increasingly competitive year after year, the Mitjet Trophy France, with its six meetings and twenty-four races on the programme, is one of the three pillars of Mitjet International.
The drivers in the Mitjet Trophy France will face off at some of the most prestigious venues in French and international motor sport: Nogaro (during the Easter Cup races from 29 March to 1 April), Spa-Francorchamps (during the SRO Spa Speedweek from 21 to 23 June), Hockenheim (from 19 to 21 July), Magny-Cours (from 23 to 25 August), Dijon-Prenois (13 to 15 September) and the Circuit Paul Ricard (from 4 to 6 October on the occasion of the SRO Racing Festival).
Three joint rounds with the Mitjet Trophy Nord Europe
After a first season rich in spectacle, the Mitjet 2L Trophy Nord Europe confirms its growing importance in 2024, establishing itself as a fully-fledged series. The programme includes five meetings (and therefore twenty races) in four different countries.
By combining three events of the Mitjet Trophy Nord Europe with the Mitjet France Trophy, Mitjet International has redoubled its efforts to enable drivers and teams wishing to do so to complete a double programme and claim both titles.
The Mitjet Trophy Nord Europe will open in the Netherlands on the magnificent F1 circuit at Zandvoort (from 3 to 5 May) before continuing in Belgium, at Zolder (from 17 to 19 May). After that, three meetings will be held jointly with the Mitjet Trophy France: Spa Speedweek (June 21-23), Hockenheim (July 19-21) and Dijon-Prenois (September 13-15).
Of the eight possible meetings between the two series, two will be run in support of the prestigious Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe and one will be included in the 10-day programme of the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2024.
The stage is set. Rendezvous in eight weeks’ time for the big kick-off of the 2024 Mitjet International Season, at the Easter Cup event at Nogaro.
Julien de Miguel
Manager of the Trophies for France and Northern Europe
“We are entering the fourth season of Mitjet International, which is also our third season supporting events on the SRO Motorsports Group calendar. With four rounds in support of the French FFSA GT Championship and two in the GT World Challenge Europe, we benefit from increased visibility. Our special relationship with SRO has opened the doors to Spa Speedweek, allowing us to race as part of the Centenary of the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, in an unrivalled environment. This is also the first year during which we have organised two rounds of the Mitjet Trophy France outside France, thanks in particular to the joint meetings with the Mitjet Trophy Nord Europe. This means that as many people as possible will be able to take part in a double programme, guaranteeing an ultra-high level of competition in both series. We cannot wait to see what this season has in store for us.”
