Stilo: all set for the debut in the WEC 2024 with 26 drivers
Stilo, a leading company in the production of motorsport helmets 100% Made in Italy, is ready for the first race of the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship, the 1812km of Qatar scheduled for the upcoming weekend at the Lusail International Circuit (UAE).
26 Stilo drivers will be on the grid, 10 in the Hypercar class and 16 in the new LMGT3, confirming that the Italian brand is one of the most represented on the starting grid. The most used models for this discipline, which is one of the most fascinating and popular at the moment, are the ST5 GT, GTN, and FN, variations of Stilo’s full-face model, one of the best-selling helmets in the world with very high user satisfaction. The ST5 stands out for its lightweight design, excellent internal ventilation, unmatched comfort and user experience, as well as optimal visibility and perfect integration with intercom and hydration systems essential for endurance races.
“The WEC is one of the benchmark championships for us – commented Paolo Bonetalli, Managing Director of Stilo – On the one hand, it allows us to engage with numerous customers, and on the other hand, it enables our Racing Service, constantly involved on the track to provide support to the drivers, to gather feedback that allows us to refine and improve our products. As in all endurance races, the premiere of the WEC 2024 will be crucial for us to work on the aspects that allow our helmets to be at the top: the correct use of the visors in very different lighting conditions during the race, ventilation, the drinking system and the noise reduction of the helmet.”
Simultaneously with the WEC, Stilo will also be present at the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, the second round of the FIA W2RC taking place in the deserts of the United Arab Emirates. The most used helmets in this extreme competition are the VENTI WRC and the new VENTI WRX, specifically designed for this type of challenge. In January, Stilo triumphed at the Rally Dakar and now aims to replicate the success in this equally fascinating competition that sees some of the strongest drivers on this type of terrain challenging each other. The research and development work is ongoing, and after initial tests, the VENTI WRX has already achieved great success, poised to become the benchmark in rally raids.
This double commitment for the Stilo Racing Service also comes just hours after the conclusion of the Official F1 Pre-Season Tests in Bahrain, where the Italian brand supported Lance Stroll and Valtteri Bottas, drivers of the Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber and the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, respectively, with the ST5FN ABP model, the most advanced full-face helmet in the Stilo range and the pinnacle of technological expression for open-cockpit vehicles.
