FIA Formula 2 – PREMA scores points finish in Spa Feature Race
PREMA Racing ended the FIA Formula 2 Feature race at Spa-Francorchamps with a points finish today as Andrea Kimi Antonelli finished ninth on the Belgian circuit.
Antonelli started from row 3 with Prime tyres and maximized his position in the long initial stint. Unfortunately, with some pace lacking and a slightly slower pit-stop compared to usual, he could not stay into the top-5. Still, he recovered up to P9 in the final lap to secure two points.
On the other hand, Ollie Bearman was forced to retire immediately after the start due to contact.
#3 OLLIE BEARMAN
“Very sad to finish the race like that. It was a short one. I made a good start but misjudged it a bit in turn 1 and unfortunately, we came together. Sorry to everyone, and of course to the team as well because I think we could have done a good race, I was feeling quite confident. Now let’s go into the summer break and try to reset for the second half of the year.”
#4 KIMI ANTONELLI
“Feature race is done, a pretty difficult one. We just didn’t have the pace today. I think P9 was the most we could take away today. Now we go into the summer break, reset, and then come back to Monza.”
