NASCAR Euro Series – Jack Davidson steps up to the PRO Championship with Lux Motorsport
Lux Motorsport had a great debut season in 2024: The family team with driver Jack Davidson scored its first NASCAR Euro Series OPEN win at Brands Hatch and proved to be competitive right from the start. In addition, the #21 Chevrolet Camaro with its bright pink livery was voted the best livery of the 2024 season. It’s no surprise that the Scots are continuing to race in EuroNASCAR, with Davidson set to make the move to the PRO division in 2025. The 2023 Rookie Trophy winner is looking to move up and become one of the top drivers in the championship.
“It makes sense to race in PRO, not only for me, but for the team to find another rider for the OPEN championship,” said Davidson. “If they want to get into the championship, it’s hard to go straight into PRO because it’s pretty challenging, so I want to keep the OPEN spot open. I have two seasons under my belt, but I also have experience in PRO where I was in Superpole once. It’s going to be a tough battle because the other riders in PRO have more experience than me and the teams have more experience than us. But I think we have what it takes to be competitive and race at the front.”
“I also want to gain more experience for myself and learn a lot,” he continued. “I still have a lot to learn, like tire management and stuff like that, so there’s a lot of work to do. I’m really looking forward to it. It’s such a pleasure to be part of the EuroNASCAR paddock with our family team. Everyone is so welcoming. Everyone helps each other. It’s like NASCAR in America, it has the same vibe. It’s all about the fans and getting them as close to the action and the drivers as possible. I love being part of the championship with my family team.”
“In 2025 I want to win the Junior Trophy. It’s going to be a tough climb for me. I will push as hard as I can. It’s going to be hard not to get angry because I’m not the fastest out there. I’m my own worst enemy, to be honest. The car may not be at 110 per cent, there’s always a little bit more you can squeeze out of it and out of yourself. At the end of the day, it’s all about me learning and being as fast as I can. The Junior Trophy is what I’m aiming for and I just want to gain more experience.”
Lux Motorsport entered the EuroNASCAR stage as a team in 2024 after Davidson won the 2023 Rookie Trophy with Marko Stipp Motorsport. The Scottish organization hit the ground running in its inaugural season, capping a strong campaign with its first race win in front of the team’s home crowd at Brands Hatch. Davidson also became the first Briton ever to win a EuroNASCAR race, securing a special chapter in the championship’s history books. But Lux Motorsport and Davidson have more pages to write and more trophies to collect.
