GT World Challenge Europe – Matisse Lismont at the wheel of the Steller Motorsport Corvette on a full programme

#24 - Steller Motorsport - Corvette Z06 GT3.R
After discovering GT3 racing in 2024, Matisse Lismont is preparing to take on a new challenge this weekend at the Circuit Paul Ricard. The young man from Louvain is joining Steller Motorsport and will compete in the entire GT World Challenge Europe at the wheel of their Corvette Z06 GT3.R.
“The off-season was lively,” says Matisse Lismont. “Steller Motorsport made us an interesting offer on several levels. I particularly liked the approach and working method of Corvette and Pratt Miller towards the teams. So I chose Corvette!”
The young driver, who turned 20 in January, had the opportunity to learn more about his car during a test session organised a few weeks ago at the Nürburgring. “The test was positive. The car has a great many driver assistance technologies on board and that gives the driver confidence. I think the Corvette should be at ease on all circuits.”
Matisse Lismont’s arrival at Steller Motorsport also coincides with the announcement of his participation in the ten events of the GT World Challenge Europe, including the unmissable CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, which will take place from 25 to 29 June 2025. “Starting at Spa is already something magical in itself. And we also know about Corvette’s track record in 24-hour races. So I will be approaching this race with confidence!”
The Belgian driver’s season starts this weekend at the Circuit Paul Ricard. Competing in the Endurance Cup with Lorcan Hanafin and Kiern Jewiss, Matisse Lismont hopes to make an impression. “We will be racing in the Silver Cup, the category for young and semi-professional drivers,” explains Matisse. “We aim to be on the podium regularly, or even win our class.”
But that is not all. As in recent years, we will also find Matisse behind the wheel of a Fun Cup car within the Clubsport organisation. He will also take part in a round of the NLS (Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie) in order to obtain his A licence and tackle the legendary Nordschleife with a state-of-the-art car. It is a programme which underlines the ambition of the Louvain-born driver.
In the meantime, he is heading for the south of France and the Circuit Paul Ricard for a six-hour race starting on Saturday at 18.00, which you can follow live on the YouTube channel GTWorld.
