19,000 fans celebrate the 2025 NASCAR Euro Series season opener at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia

The 2025 NASCAR Euro Series season officially kicked off at the 12th Valencia NASCAR Fest at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Spain. The 4.005-kilometer track has been a fixture on the European NASCAR schedule since 2012, and its steady growth has brought more and more fans to enjoy the powerful V8 engines and pure touring car racing. 19,000 fans attended the 2025 event, filling the grandstands on the main straight and in Turn 1 to create a true stadium feel at the arena-like layout of the track.
The NASCAR Euro Series shared the track with the Spanish Truck Championship and the Copa Racer Series. Fans saw plenty of on-track action, highlighted by the popular EuroNASCAR Grid Walks, where thousands of fans joined the grid to get autographs from their favorite drivers and get a close-up look at the EuroNASCAR cars. Afterwards, the thunderous orchestra of 22 V8 engines created an unparalleled atmosphere around the track, with everyone on their feet when the green flag dropped.
The Valencia NASCAR Fest was not only a celebration of motorsports and pure racing, but also of Americana. The US national anthems, the most famous words in motorsports, food trucks and music made the event more than comparable to those in the U.S. In addition, there were cable cars for kids to race around a track in the paddock area, arcade games for young and old, and an MMA presentation on Friday. It was a perfect party with a cocktail of racing, attractions and lifestyle.
But the highlights were the four races – two in the PRO and two in the OPEN. In the premier championship, Paul Jouffreau kicked off the season with a phenomenal performance in the first race of the season. Thomas Krasonis made history when he became the first PRO and OPEN race winners from Greece, after winning his first OPEN race on Saturday and later the PRO one on Sunday. The reigning OPEN champion Martin Doubek struck back on Sunday to take his first race win of the season. While Krasonis left Valencia with the PRO championship lead, Gil Linster’s consistency in both races saw the Luxembourger leave Spain with the overall OPEN points advantage.
What promises to be a close and exciting season began in true American style at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, but in five weeks, on May 17th and 18th, the NASCAR Euro Series heads to Italy. The Autodromo di Vallelunga – near the capital city of Rome – will host another edition of the American Festival of Rome. Buckle up for another weekend of action, Americana and pure racing. All races will also be streamed live on EuroNASCAR’s YouTube channel.
