Mücke Motorsport 2013 with the Israeli Roy Nissany at the FIA Formula 3 European Championship
The German Team Mücke Motorsport from Berlin will be on start at the FIA Formula 3 European Championship in 2013 with the Israeli Roy Nissany. The 18 year old has been overall ninth of the ADAC Formula Masters last year and got his first win at the series on the Red Bull Ring in Austria. Now it is time to take the next step for the young Israeli, whose father Chanoch Nissany is a former test driver for Minardi at the Formula 1. Team principal Peter Mücke feels confident about having Roy Nissany in his team and also that he will have good results on his way at the Formula 3 European Championships.
„Roy completed our drivers school for three years already and he showed that he is ready and capable for higher duties in motor sports“, the principal of the racing stable from the German capital city said. „Certainly, Roy will need time to get used to the Formula 3 European Championship like every other Rookie does. But I think, it won’t last too long for him to get used to it. He can build on a solid base of our drivers training at the ADAC Formula Masters and he can surely make it to the top at the Formula 3 as well. And this series, which is even more important because of being a European championship, definitely opens him doors for his further way to the high class professional motor sports. Our whole team is looking forward to the further teamwork with Roy Nissany.“
Roy Nissany, Israeli citizen, holding a French passport and grew up in Europe, said: „I am proud to be part of Mücke Motorsport, actually the team which I grew up with.“ And the 18 year old, who started his motor sports career 12 years ago in go karts, added: „We had an efficient winter test and I’m ready for the new challenge, the FIA F3 European Championship.“ During the winter break Nissany, a student at a high school in Tel Aviv uses these weeks to prepare himself for the final examinations in the school, besides concentrating on the physical training in order to be ready for the coming season.
The Israeli is the second driver contracted by Mücke Motorsport for the year 2013 at the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. The Australian Mitchell Gilbert (living in Great Britain) will be on his side for the racing stable from the German capital city. The 17 year old, who was born in Kuala Lumpur, drives in motor sports since 2002. He already has been on track for Mücke Motorsport in the middle of November in 2012 at the Formula 3 Grand Prix in Macau and finished on position 18. „Our two Formula 3 rookies Roy and Mitch will certainly will bring each other forward“, team principal Peter Mücke said. „This will be an interesting season.“
