The German Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport from Berlin scored their third season win at the Germany prelude of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship this weekend (03rd to 05th of May) in the main schedule of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM). The Swede Felix Rosenqvist, already on the podium three times about three weeks ago in Silverstone

(England) with the positions one, two and three, scored his second win this year on Sunday at the ninth season run on the Hockenheimring. The races seven and eight on Saturday won the Italian Raffaele Marciello (both Dallara Mercedes), who leads the overall championship ranking ahead Rosenqvist. The Swede reached the points ranking on Saturday with the positions eight and ten. The first win for Mücke was scored by Pascal Wehrlein at the season opening in Monza (Italy), where he finished second and third as well. The young driver from Worndorf switched to the DTM-Team of Mücke Motorsport after that.

Team principal Peter Mücke was happy about the win of Felix Rosenqvist. „That has been a perfect performance of Felix, who didn’t even lose his great position after a Safety-Car-Phase and who had a great start.“ The Swede started from position four into the race and after his rocket like start he took the lead of the field of 29 drivers after the first turn already. On the dry track he only gave away his leading position for a few seconds, but then took it back with a counterattack.

The other three drivers of the racing stable from the German capital city didn’t have the chance to get to the front of the field with partly bad conditions with rain and wet track and started from back positions. The Australian Mitchell Gilbert finished 17th, 15th and 18th, the US American Michael Lewis on 22nd , 21st and 16th position. The Israeli Roy Nissany (all Dallara Mercedes), on Saturday 24th and 16th position, was unlucky on Sunday, when he was pushed off track by a combatant already at the second lap, bumped into the crash barriers and slid on the track again. Nissany, who wasn’t injured, had to stable his damaged car.

The fourth season event of the Formula 3 European Championship is scheduled from 17th to 19th of May in Brands Hatch (England).
