Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport returned with an excellent performance after the around two month summer break, having finished the first half of the season with a summary of two victories, one runner up and two third places. Additionally, the German Capitol’s racing team, in action for the ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg, further expanded its lead positions in the driver and team ratings on the Nürburgring at the weekend (2nd to 4th August). Belgian top of the table Alessio Picariello brought home his season wins six and seven in races 10 (Saturday) and 11 (Sunday) on the 3.618 kilometre long track in the Eifel region and came in third in Sunday afternoon’s race 12. “This was a close to perfect weekend for me and my team who provided yet another fantastic car”, the Mücke pilot cheered, having also achieved the fastest race laps along with his victories.

His team colleague Maximilian Günther (Rettenberg) also had reasons to celebrate with two pole positions and finishing as third, second and fourth in his 145 horsepower Formula ADAC racer powered by Volkswagen. The ADAC Sports Foundation sponsored rookie moved up from fifth place in the drivers’ table, now ranking second. Berlin man Hendrik Grapp who had scored his first season victory at the Sachsenring, can also be found in a top placement as fifth. Following his sixth place on the Nürburgring on Saturday he unfortunately turned unlucky twice and was eliminated prematurely. On Sunday afternoon, it was hard luck for Kim Luis Schramm (Wümbach), too, after being close to point ratings as 13th and eleventh. His Swiss team colleague Giorgio Maggi, also new to the Formula sport, finished as 15th and twice as s16th.

“Overall, our boys did incredibly well. Alessio and Maxi impressed with their capabilities once again”, says Mücke race engineer Frank Lucke. Despite the involvement of Hendrik and Kim Luis in accidents, it was a very successful weekend for us. The occasional crash is just part of the racing sport. I am delighted that we were able to continue our performance level from before the summer break.” Most members of the Formula ADAC section of the Berlin team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport are travelling straight to Austria from the Nürburgring on Monday (5th August) in anticipation of the coming weekend (9th to 11th August) when the high carat junior series starts into the second half of the season at the Red Bull Ring with races 13 to 15.
