Maximilian Günther gets ADAC Formula Masters podium place for Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport
Berlin Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport secured a podium place at the fourth ADAC Formula Masters event over Whit Weekend (6th to 8th June) at Austria’s Red Bull Ring. Last year’s vice champion Maximilian Günther finished second in the 11th race of the season on Sunday morning. Furthermore, the young man from Rettenburg scored points on Saturday as fifth and on Sunday afternoon with a fourth place. “I am delighted with the second place. Admittedly, I have widened the gap to the top of the table slightly but we still have the other half of the season to catch up”, says Günther, currently runner up in the table and with the intention of securing the championship title this year.
A further four drivers of the German Capitol’s racing team, in action for the ADAC Berlin Brandenburg, are listed in the top ten of the table at the end of the first season half. Marvin Dienst (Lampertheim) is third, having achieved a sixth and seventh place in Spielberg with one elimination. Ranking sixth is Kim-Luis Schramm (Wümbach) who scored points as ninth and twice with sixth places in Austria. In tenth place is Rookie Philip Hamprecht (Hagen). He finished as eighth and 15th at the Red Bull Ring and was eliminated on Sunday afternoon. Swiss Giorgio Maggi’s results included a 15th, 14th and 12th place. The team ratings saw kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport hand over the lead for now, having taken the top place at the home game at the Lausitzring, with just five points behind the top of the table.
Victory was had in Spielberg by Danish overall top of table Mikki Jensen (2x winner), handing back the team lead to his crew, Austrian Team Neuhauser Racing, and Swede Joel Eriksson (1x winner). Following a two months break, the second half of the ADAC Formula Masters season will be at the start again on the Slovakia Ring from 8th to 10th August.
