ACCELERATION GETTING READY FOR SLOVAKIA RING

Slovakia Ring is the fifth venue for ACCELERATION 2014 in the weekend of 4 – 6 July. MW-V6 Pickups, the Legend SuperCup and 600 & 1000 cc motorbikes will form starting grids on the Slovakian track. Targeted towards families, ACCELERATION offers three days of races and music performances. Talented Slovakian driver Richard Gonda currently holds the third position in the standings of the Formula Acceleration 1 (FA1) championship. Slovakia Ring is not part of the calendar for the FA1s, but Gonda will give an amazing demo to the spectators: “It’s a shame that I can’t race on the Slovakia Ring in front of my home fans, but I’m looking forward to make some donuts and other stunts with this 550 hp car. Plus: it will be the first time that I’m there with a big car like the FA1, so it will be interesting for me as well,” Gonda says.

European Superstock Series
The motorbikes that join the Acceleration event in Slovakia are driven by participants of the IMRC, the Alpe Adria Championship and the Slovakian 600 & 1000 cc championship.

Music
On Friday evening, David Hasselhoff opens the first music event on the track. “Celebrating the 80s & 90s With The Hoff” is the theme of the evening. Hasselhoff is the host and performances are given by Rick Astley, 2 Unlimited, Vengaboys, Samantha Fox, Twenty 4 Seven, DJ Sash, Turbo B / Snap and the local Slovakian band Maduar. The dance event starts on Saturday afternoon at 4pm, with both international and national DJs as W&W, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Otto Knows, The Shapeshifters, Nifra, Alice DJ, Jacob van Hage and MC Apster!
