Zeta Corse stays into the top-5 in race 2 at Paul Ricard

Zeta Corse managed to keep their name into the top-5 at Circuit Paul Ricard, as the World Series Renault 3.5 lined-up for the second race of its French weekend in Cote D’Azur. After cruising to fifth place in qualifying 2, Roberto Merhi drove his way to a solid fourth-place finish in Le Castellet, winning some spectacular battles and nailing once again the third spot of the rookie podium.

The Spaniard still has a narrow chance to fight for the driver’s title, and will keep focusing on the preparation to leave nothing unattempted in Jerez de la Frontera. The closing round of the 2014 World Series Renault will take place at the Andalusian venue between the 17th and 19th of October.

Roberto Merhi – Q2: P5 – R2: P4

“It’s been a consistent race with some good battles but it’s a pity for the time lost for the pit-stop. We stopped a little to late and that cost me one position. Then I managed to keep Jaafar at bay and finished in fourth. We lost some points but I’m not backing down at all. Everything can change in the blink of an eye and I’m definitely going to try to win at Jerez”.
