AVF works hard at Motorland
The AVF by Adrián Vallés team went back on-track today for Day 1 of the collective Formula Renault 3.5 test at Motorland Aragón, the last session before the 2015 season opener.
Once again, the Spanish squad fielded Alfonso Celis and Beitske Visser, completing a series of tests using the high-downforce package. It was a necessary step, as the low-downforce configuration will be mandatory for Day 2.
The tests was so far held under cloudy skies with 10 km/h winds and temperatures around 25°C. Sunny weather is expected tomorrow, for the second and final day.
Alfonso Celis
“It was the first time for me on the Motorland circuit, so I had to find the right chemistry with it and also with the car since I was coming from the GP3 Series test. Everything is different and I had to focus 100% on merging with the car. Anyway, I loved to have all this power available. I didn’t put together my best three sectors in my quickest flyer but I think that there’s definitely some really good potential”.
Beitske Visser
“It’s been a pretty difficult day for me. I can’t feel myself at ease with the car on this track. I hope to improve the situation by running with the low-downforce package tomorrow, and to regain the confidence we had at Jerez”.
