Isaac Tutumlu, 24 hours to go in Barcelona

The Spanish of Kurdish descent driver couldn´t take part in qualifying due to the engine of Lamborghini Huracan blew up. Despite engine problems, Tutumlu remains encouraged for the 2015 24 hours of Barcelona, following engine change overnight.

Leipert Motorsport did not have a good day at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya as the Lamborghini Huracan shared by Isaac Tutumlu and his teammates Mikko Eskelinen, Vadim Gitlin, Ulrik Roland Pedersen and Marcel Leipert, experienced mechanical issues. Blow engine put Tutumlu in rear for tomorrow as the Barcelona-born driver couldn´t post a single flying lap. The Italian GT, a favorite in SP2 class, will have a new engine for tomorrow. The 24 hours of Barcelona will start tomorrow at 12.00 (local time).

“In wet conditions we should have performed pretty well in today´s qualifying session. So it was a bit frustrating that we couldn´t complete a single lap. But at least it happened today and, despite we will start from the back of the grid, it won´t a determining factor for a 24-hour race”, Tutumlu commented, stressing that “it is going to be a challenging endurance race. We need to be smart enough to keep the car in one piece and it should bring us a good result at the end”.
