It’s been an extremely successful day for the AVF team at Motorland Aragón. In day 2 of collective Formula 3.5 testing, the Spanish squad, managed by Adrián Vallés, cruised to the top twice with Tom Dillman. The Frenchman scored the fastest lap of the morning in 1’40”941 before improving it in the afternoon and bringing the mark down to 1’40”728.

It’s been an excellent performance, especially because Tom improved his time in three successive attempts on in his final run. An element that highlighted the package’s great superiority. Alfonso Celis Jr. was really consistent and ended up third and fifth respectively. Despite an off-track exit, he logged 28 laps in the morning an 31 in the afternoon.

Alfonso Celis Jr. (#15) Morning: P3 1:41.854 – 28 laps – Afternoon: P7 1:41.244 – 31

“I think this has been a good day. We improved several things and tested other solutions. I feel like I have improved and I have to admit that this are the first off-season tests that I’m running. Last season I only arrived in February so I even discovered new things about the car I didn’t know before”.

Tom Dillmann (#16) Morning: P1 1:40.941 – 30 – Afternoon: P1 1:40.728 – 31

“I really found myself well suited by the car since my first outing. The chemistry was there straight away and we showed that with our laptimes. The base set-up was great and we only had to adapt ourselves to the weather conditions, a job we accomplished well indeed. In the afternoon, we went for some race simulations”.
