ADAC German Formula 4 championship – TIME TO FLY FOR JONATHAN
Aberdein wants to turn pace into results at the Sachsenring disappointing results at Oschersleben
South African Jonathan Aberdein has every intention of turning the pace he showed at times through his ADAC German Formula 4 championship debut weekend at Oschersleben into top results at the second round at Sachsenring over the Mayday weekend.
The Capetonian showed great pace in early wet practice but he was frustrated not to be able to turn that speed into consistent race results on his series debut last time out: “Last weekend wasn’t great but what it did do is show us that we have the potential to run at the front,” the 17-year old explained.
“I was quick in opening practice and close enough to the overall pace and right on the pace versus the other rookie drivers in the final heat last weekend, but we lost our way a little in between,” Jonathan admitted. “We need to better understand what we need to do with the car as the conditions change, because we are pretty strong in consistent conditions.
