The ADAC GT Masters heads to Sachsenring for the second round of the series. Spaniard Tutumlu, a rookie in the series, will make his first outing at the challenging German track, which lines up on the calendar for the tenth time. Sachsenring should be one of the more favorable circuits for the Car Collection´s Audi R8 LMS.

Isaac Tutumlu is ready to take on another challenge as the ADAC GT Masters has its second round this weekend at Sachsenring. The German GT series are the strongest championship devoted to GT3 cars on a par with the Blancpain Endurance Series and over 30 cars will be entered again next weekend. Sachsenring is located in Hohenstein-Ernstthal and is 3.700km in length. Tutumlu, the only Spanish driver in the series, will share the Audi R8 LMS entered by Car Collection Motorsport with South-African Kelvin van der Linde. Oschersleben, which hosted the season opener, was a stepping stone for Tutumlu. There the Barcelona-born driver qualified on the seventh row and finished 10th in race two.

“I´m looking forward to our second meeting in the series, which takes place at Sachsenring this time. Despite the ADAC GT Masters has a huge number of factory drivers, I was able to compete head-to-head with them and I´ve to admit my results were beyond my expectations. It´s never easy when you have to battle with so seasoned guys!”, Tutumlu comments. Regarding Sachsenring, he adds “our Audi should be pretty competitive there as its corners are these where the R8 shows its best competitiveness. Well, at the same time Sachsenring is completely new to me but I´m sure I will make a quick progress as Kelvin took several ADAC GT Masters wins there and his help will be priceless. This circuit is a sort of Portimao, a roller-coaster with a lot of ups and downs and similar corners. I like Portimao and this new track should be just like that. We achieved our first top-ten finish at Oschersleben and my performance in qualifying was something to be proud of. My goal is to make another step forward working with my teammate Kelvin and Car Collection Motorsport.”

Friday´s free practice sessions will serve as an appetizer for first qualifying session on Saturday, prior to race one to start at 13.15. On Sunday, a second qualifying session in the morning precedes race two. Races duration is one hour each day.
