The German team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport from Berlin had a lot to celebrate at the second season event of the Italian Formula 4 championship last weekend (7th/8th of May) at the Adria International Raceway. The Venezuelan Mauricio Baiz, who started from pole position at the first and the fourth race, scored two wins and a third place for the racing stable from the German capital city.

At the fourth race on Sunday afternoon the team from Berlin even celebrated a double victory, because the Chinese team colleague of Baiz, Yifei Ye, made his way up to position two coming from seven and scored the fastest lap time. He also finished second at the second race on Saturday ahead Baiz. And the local hero as the rookie of the Mücke team, Aldo Festante, scored points on position ten, made his way up to position 13 coming from the end of the field and finished 18th at the last race.

„It couldn’t have been better for us this weekend. Our drivers did a great job right from the beginning until the grand finale“, said team principal Peter Mücke. „Besides the podium placings of Mauricio and Yifei, our rookie did also quite well and even scored his first racing points. All in all it was a great weekend for our youngsters and the whole team at the Italian Formula 4. I am very proud.“

Winners of the other two races at the 2.702 km long track were Raul Guzman (Mexico) and Marcos Siebert (Argentina), who leads the driver standings ahead Guzman and Baiz. Yifei Ye is on overall position eight at the moment. The third season event of the „Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth“ is scheduled from 27th to 29th of May in Imola. And one week later (3rd to 5th of June) the German team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport from Berlin will have the next big racing weekend at the ADAC Formula 4 with the home race at the Lausitzring in southern Brandenburg. It will also be the third season event for the youngsters, which will be held in the main schedule of the DTM and the ADAC GT Masters.
