FROM EUROPE TO EAST: GDL RACING HEADS TO THE LAMBORGHINI TROFEO ASIA
GDL Racing flies from a continent to another: after having entered this year the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europa, claiming fifth victories in the AM and PRO-AM class with the 18-year-old Dutchman Rik Breukers – currently second in the standings – showing well also with Bashar Mardini, the Gianluca De Lorenzi’s team looks over.
At the Sepang circuit, on the 13rd and 14th of August, GDL Racing will make its debut in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia. On the 5,5 kilometers of the Malysian track, the San Marino-based squad will line up a car for Wee Liam Keong.
The Singaporean driver, already one of the frontrunners with GDL Racing Team Asia in a couple of editions of 24H Dubai, as well as the last year in the 12H Sepang, will aim to the positions.
For GDL Racing, the participation in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia represents another important commitment, together with the European Super Trofeo, 24H Series, Vw Fun Cup and the Italian GT in which it took excellent results in the first part of the season.
The Sepang round is the fourth of the 2016 calendar of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia, followed by the Japanese round at Fuji.
