REBELLION RACING EXTEND WINNING STREAK IN AUSTIN
Alexandre Imperatori, Dominik Kraihamer and Matheo Tuscher in the Rebellion R-One AER #13 secured a 7th place overall finish at the FIA WEC 6 Hours of COTA.
The three drivers claimed the victory in the LMP Privateer category for the fifth time this season after a strong race.
Before the start of the race, the team elected to use a single stint strategy due to the high temperature at the Circuit of the Americas. Dominik Kraihamer took the start of the race, he kept the lead of the LMP1 Privateers at the first corner and he managed to create a gap over the #4 ByKolles car in the early stages. Matheo Tuscher and Alex Imperatori extended the gap over the #4 car during their stints. After two hours in the race the gap was one lap.
Halfway into the 6 Hours of COTA with the night coming, cooler temperatures allowed the team to move to double stints. The gap over the #4 ByKolles car was two laps. From that point the Rebellion R-One AER #13 drivers moved to a calmer strategy in the second part of the race and took the chequered flag in 7th position overall, first of the LMP1 Privateer. It was a trouble free race for the Swiss squad.
With this fifth LMP1 Privateer win of the season, REBELLION Racing extended their lead in the LMP1 Privateer Trophy with 59 points over #4 ByKolles car and only three rounds in the Championship remain.
After the Austin race, Alexandre Imperatori, Dominik Kraihamer and Matheo Tuscher are sixth in the FIA World Endurance drivers championship.
The next round of the FIA World Endurance Championship will take place in Japan for the 6 Hours of Fuji on Sunday 16th of October.

It was a tough race with the heat, maybe the hardest race I ever had on this side, but everything came together and secured the win after 6 hours of hard work from the whole team. It was a hot race for us but also for the mechanics. I can’t wait to be in Japan for the next race.”
Mathéo Tuscher – Rebellion R-One AER #13 : «A good day at the office for us, but a hard one with the heat we had today. We had solid stints but without risking too much, we stayed focused on our target. The guys were amazing during pit stops despite the heat. In the end it’s a win and big points for the championship, a great reward for everyone in the team.»
