Classic Racing – Peter Lindenberg to run the show
Peter Lindenberg has been instructed not to race this weekend’s Midas Historic races at Zwartkops Raceway, but that does not mean his team won’t be out in full force Saturday 4 March. “The doctors have banned me from racing for a bit,” Peter explained. “I have to heal properly following my recent string of operations – I have been told to take it easy and I will be running the team this weekend.”
All of which means Lindenberg Racing will be running three classic Fords Saturday – the giant Ford Fairlane in Class C and a pair of little Escorts in Classes F and G. “I’m really looking forward to hustling that big Fairlaine around Zwartkops again this weekend,” diminutive Paige Lindenberg admitted. “I had a really good time with the car in the Internationals and I can’t wait to drive it again.”
Lindenberg Racing’s second lady driver, Kirsten Venter will be out in the Class F car and husband Djurk will race his similar car in Class G. “I made good progress last time out, but this time around there will be the added challenge to teach Djurk a lesson!” Kirsten taunted. “Bring it on,” Djurk smiled. “May the best man win!”
