NASCAR CUP SERIES TEAM GO FAS RACING ENTERS NWES!

Another fundamental page of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series history was written today as Go Fas Racing NASCAR Canada Champion owner Alain Lord Mounir and NWES President / CEO Jerome Galpin met in Montreal, Canada to announce that Go Fas Racing will enter Euro NASCAR with its brand new European branch.

The team will be based in France and managed by Go Fas Racing Team and Romain Iannetta, who will make his debut in the central role of team principal and also return to NWES as a driver. Go Fas Racing will field a brand new #32 Ford Mustang for Iannetta in Elite 1 division . The Elite 2 driver will be announced in the coming days.. The car will be sponsored by leading brands: Kappa and Cyclops Gears.

The new Go Fas Racing Europe Division will also have an affiliation with the original Go Fas Racing competing in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series with Matt DiBenedetto at the wheel of the #32 Ford Fusion.

Bringing Go Fas Racing to the European NASCAR Series is a project discussed between Jerome Galpin and Alain Lord Mounir since a long time.

“My head is still spinning, with this major announcement. I have been talking with Jerome for many years about this opportunity and I really believe than NASCAR Whelen Euro Series is a great marketing platform for Go Fas Racing international sponsors.” said Alain Lord Mounir.

“This is another step in the Series’ international development. We already have drivers coming from all over the world to race the Euro NASCAR and now we have overseas teams joining ! Alain is the very first one, a true pioneer, and we are really happy to work with him. He has built a great platform with Go Fas Racing at every level of NASCAR. We have a lot of ideas to develop this partnership to create more opportunities for the Euro Drivers to race in the USA. We are also really happy to welcome such great international brands joining our group of amazing partners,” continued Jerome Galpin.

A veteran racer, a TV commentator, a renowned stuntman and now also a team manager, Iannetta is returning to the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series after finishing third in points and winning a spectacular race at Brands Hatch in 2015.

“It is fantastic to be back in NWES. I love the series and I am very proud to return with such an important time as Go Fas Racing. This is a huge opportunity to build a unique direct ladder towards the US for young drivers. There’s a lot of work to do ahead of us and the competition is very strong but we hope to hit the ground running and be able to battle with the best of th field,” said the 38-year-old Villecresnes-native. “I want to thank Go Fas Racing owner Alain Lord Mounir for his confidence and for choosing me to represent the team in Europe and of course Jerome and Anne Galpin for everything they are doing with the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series and all their help. We start from a solid base and we have a very promising talent in Elite 2 who can do beautiful things, so we will do our best to bring Go Fas Racing on the podium in both divisions.”

The green flag will wave on the 2018 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season on April 14-15, when the European NASCAR series will celebrate the fifth edition of the Valencia NASCAR Fest with four exciting races surrounded by a great American-themed event.
