Pujeu made a strong start driving the GT Cup Open-spec McLaren at Paul Ricard two weeks ago and the Spaniard now returns to action at his home circuit to continue his learning curve in GT racing.
As Pujeu himself underlines, “it’s a key test ahead of our season start in Le Castellet next April, because we will be wrap up preseason with a good number of potential rivals again taking on track. It will be our last rehearsal and we need to push our rivals to the limit. Unlike the previous Winter Series event in France, I have got plenty of experience at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, so I will be able to focus on continuing my learning with the McLaren 570S.” The young GT driver adds: “we managed to draw a positive conclusion from the test on France soil, mainly on day two when I pushed the limits further and clocked quite competitive lap times. My goal is to continue my learning driving a GT car this week. I will also work on my feedback with Teo Martín Motorsport and their staff, specially my engineer. I’m looking forward to driving again the McLaren-built beast!”
