Coach Dave Academy named official driver coaching platform for #SRO #E-Sport GT Series

Established by professional GT driver and sim racing expert David Perel, the recently launched project draws upon vast experience in real-world and virtual competition to produce tailored coaching services for all levels of sim racer.

Amateur and pro drivers alike will be able to up their game with tutoring from Coach Dave and his fellow professionals, as well as having access to real-world race engineers.

A two-time class winner at the Total 24 Hours of Spa, Perel has used simulation as a tool to improve his own performance since starting out in karting and continues to draw upon its resources as an international GT driver.

The Coach Dave Academy also calls upon the skills of fellow pros Kelvin van der Linde and Jordan Pepper, both of whom are ace sim racers and real-world factory drivers for Audi and Bentley respectively.

Coach Dave Academy students will receive world-class tuition that explores the fundamentals of driving theory through to targeted skills such as overtaking. Sessions are conducted on a one-on-one basis, allowing coaches to provide tailored advice. The Academy also utilises the expertise of real-world race engineers to advise drivers on car set-up, data analysis and technique.

Coach Dave Academy services can be accessed directly via the “Coaching” tab on the SRO E-Sport GT Series website or on www.coachdaveacademy.com, while Perel will use the Discord platform to provide fast access for all SRO E-Sport GT Series drivers.

The second round of the SRO E-Sport GT Series takes place this weekend, with one-hour races for the Pro and Silver Series staged at Spa-Francorchamps. Perel opened the campaign with a top-five finish at Silverstone, taking the chequered flag as the lead Ferrari driver, while fellow coach Pepper scored a commanding victory for Bentley.
