The all-female Iron Dames line-up has taken pole position in the GTE AM category during qualifying for the FIA World Endurance Championship 1000 Miles of Sebring race.

Sarah Bovy took the top spot, meaning the Dames will start P1 in their category for the race.

In the same category, the Iron Lynx yellow Porsche 911 RSR-19, driven by Claudio Schiavoni, qualified with a lap time of 2:02.914, meaning the #60 car will start P13 in class.

Iron Lynx Team Principal and CEO, Andrea Piccini, said: “Kicking off the 2023 FIA WEC season here in Sebring with a pole position is an amazing start for the Iron Dames. Last year they achieved great results, which made us very proud, and we look forward to seeing how they can develop on that success during tomorrow’s race and the rest of the season.

Also out on track for us tomorrow will be the #60 Iron Lynx car, with the team looking to make up position during the 8h-long race.”

The 1000 Miles of Sebring race starts on 17th March 2023 at 12pm EDT.

The event will be broadcast live on Eurosport (UK & Europe), MotorTrend (USA) and around the world on FIAWEC.TV or the FIAWEC App.
