NASCAR GP UK – Hendriks Motorsport and Race Art Technology received accolades in the NASCAR GP UK

In the UK Hendriks Motorsport tops the Endurance Teams Championship, Race Art Technology brings home the new Racing Spirit Award – The Dutch team now leads the overall championship
Four action-filled races in the eleventh edition of American SpeedFest, the home of the NASCAR GP UK, produced plenty of highlight reel worthy moments for thousands of NASCAR Whelen Euro Series fans. Dutch powerhouse Hendriks Motorsport clinched a back-to-back victory in the Endurance Teams Championship and became the new overall leader in EuroNASCAR’s new teams title classification, while Swiss team Race Art Technology was awarded with the inaugural Racing Spirit Award for their exceptional achievement during the weekend.

Hendriks’ charge in the Endurance Teams Championship was led by the #50 Toyota Camry of Liam Hezemans and Gil Linster. They were the fastest team across four races in EuroNASCAR PRO and EuroNASCAR 2 and therefore won the combined classifications. With 40 points secured, they jumped into the lead in the standings with a total of 101 points.

The competition was fierce in the NASCAR GP UK, with RDV Competition’s #3 Ford Mustang finishing less than 15 seconds behind in the aggregate event classification. The French team collected important points following their setback in the second event in Italy. The podium positions were completed by Team Bleekemolen with the #69 Toyota Camry, their first top-3 result of 2024. They finished just five seconds ahead of CAAL Racing’s flagship #54 Chevrolet Camaro, which moved up to second place in the overall standings with 95 points.

Another Team Bleekemolen entry in the #66 Chevrolet Camaro completed the top-5 at Brands Hatch, but the Dutch team’s #72 Toyota Camry squad lost their overall lead due to Marc Goossens’ absence from Brands Hatch. They will for sure be ready to bounce back in their home race at Raceway Venray, the oval track returning the the NWES calendar in 2024. RDV Competition’s #16 Ford Mustang and Club Motorsport’s #43 Chevrolet Camaro took their first top-10 finishes ahead of Speedhouse’s #14 Ford Mustang driven by Ulysse Delsaux and Arianna Casoli. Delsaux and Casoli’s consistency were immaculate and they now seat third in the overall standings, 14 points behind Hendriks Motorsport.

Two German teams rounded out the top-10: Bremotion in ninth and Marko Stipp Motorsport in tenth. Valencia winner Race Art Technology hit engine trouble in the UK, but they did not let that dampen their spirits. On Saturday, their mechanics worked hard to replace the engine of the #34 Chevrolet Camaro after it blew during EuroNASCAR PRO Round 5 and managed to finish the job in record time before EuroNASCAR 2 Round 5. The feat granted the Swiss team the first Racing Spirit Award, a new prize recognizing a team’s outstanding performance during the racing weekend.

The exciting battle to become the best and most inspirational team of the 2024 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series will be continued in the NASCAR Oval GP on 29-30 June. With two races in the highly demanding half-mile oval of Raceway Venray and no result dropped over the course of the season, teams need to maximize every result that they can get to conquer the endurance challenge. Qualifying and all races will be broadcast live on EuroNASCAR’s YouTube channel and on several TV channels around the world.
